Ever since my poly school days, I haven’t invited any friends over to my place. My parents were particular about the cleanliness and din made. Haha.. This year around, the house seemed too empty and quiet for our liking. Lunar New Year was becoming less meaningful as the years go by.
With Babe whining to have some company in our house and Mummy agreeing to it for the first time, my friends became the medicine to their loneliness. Haha..
CS, Qi-er, Purple, Ah Yong, Gowanda, CB, Kok kok and FFL turned up for a night of fun and laughter. CS’ initiative to bring the Kinect set kept all of us exceptionally high-spirited. Thanks Best Friend! All the dances and water rafting games were sufficient to make us perspire.
And there was Ugly Doll – the ruthless card slapping, snatching and tearing game. This is the time where you do not show mercy to the other contenders. Bulldoze your way through to emerge as the winner. Hahaha! Ugly Doll is hereby announced as the winner of the “Loudest Noise Maker” award.
A mini gambling corner was set up for those enthusiastic in playing mahjong and blackjack. I’ve spent more than enough for this month. More expenditure from the pocket is going to eat into my hard earned savings.
That particular Friday night had been the liveliest in the past decade or so. Solely because we hardly have visitors to our home. Haha.. Even after midnight, we were still talking at the top of our voices. =x
I hope all friends who turned up had a raving good time on Friday night. Given such good responses, there could be more invitations to come.
